Darren ‘Graceland’ Jones’ year keeps on getting better. He has just won the ‘Best Elvis’ for the second year on the trot, the first time this has even happened.

In January Darren, who grew up in Cwmbran, hit the headlines across the country after he starred in Torfaen Council’s In The Depot video and it went viral notching up 491,000 hits on YouTube.

Darren was one of 12 competitors who took to the stage on Wednesday night at Porthcawl’s Hi-Tide club.

He said: “I was over the moon, absolutely over the moon.  I didn’t feel I put in 100% as I worked myself up so much last year I only  went down to take part. I never expected to win it two years in a row. It’s great as this was the tenth anniversary of ‘Best Welsh Elvis.”
