Cwmbran community woodland hit by theft of crane and trailer

The crane and trailer that have been stolen

A crane and trailer used by Blaen Bran Community Woodland in Upper Cwmbran was stolen last night.
A spokesperson for the group that look after the site said: “At some time between 9pm and 9.30pm on the evening of Sunday 7 April  someone sawed off the combination lock of the gate by Ebenezer Chapel (Upper Cwmbran) and took away our crane and trailer.
“This equipment is worth thousands of pounds. We think this was a planned operation but a trailer and crane are pretty conspicuous on a Sunday evening. Maybe someone will have seen something or will know something that may help.”
Please share this story and call Gwent Police on 101 if you have any information.
You can also call Dave, the Blaen Bran woodland manager, on 07787 525 875 or email blaenbran@gmail.com if you can help.
