The new footbridge across to Morrisons supermarket in Cwmbran

This is the footbridge that is being built to  link up Cwmbran town centre and the soon to be opened  Morrisons supermarket. It crosses from outside the Harvester restaurant across St David’s Road.

  1. “Slowly but surely they came”…….and turned Cwmbran into one giant shopping mall for the drones to keep buying stuff they don’t really need. Buying stuff or watching the tv is all people have in their lives, sad days indeed.

  2. To be honest this is not Morrisons fault but Torfaen Council’s Highways Department and Planners as it is they who approved the current layout. It’s absolutely horrendous. This coupled with the congestion outside lloyds bank reducing from 2 lanes to 1 has made for severe carnage on the road system around the town centre. Great to see the linkage with the main town centre though via the footpath

  3. The main talking point concerning the new Morrison’s site at Cwmbran is the Traffic Lights south side of the roundabout which have cause aleast 4 accidents and don’t know how many near misses and Morrison’s is not open yet.
